Swami Samarth — An Introduction
The birth details of Swami Samarth, considered the third avatar of Sri Dattatreya, remain highly secretive. Sri Dattatreya's first avatar, Sripada Srivallabha (1320 AD), predicted the future incarnations.
Spiritual Lineage
The second avatar appeared as Sri Narasimha Saraswati (1450 AD). After concluding that avatar, he performed penance in the Kadali Vana for 300 years before emerging as Swami Samarth in Maharashtra.
Akkalkot Maharaj
Swami Samarth stayed in Akkalkot for twenty years and attained Samadhi in a devotee's house there, earning the beloved name "Akkalkot Maharaj."
Dattatreya Avatars
Sri Dattatreya, the divine trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, has blessed humanity through three sacred avatars across the centuries — each appearing when devotion calls.
- Sripada Srivallabha — 1320 AD
- Narasimha Saraswati — 1450 AD
- Swami Samarth
Origin in Kanchipuram
The desire to build a temple for Paramaguru Sri Sainath Sadguru in Marudham (Maruthipuram) took root in 2011 and blossomed with divine grace.
After chanting the Hanuman Chalisa 108 times over 18 days at the local Maruti temple, a worship center was inaugurated with Padukas and portrait of Sai Nath.
The thought of building a dedicated Paduka Mandir took deep root in the hearts of devotees and trustees.
With the blessings of the Gurus, the sacred Bhoomi Puja was performed on February 24th, marking the commencement of construction.
Guided by Devotion
Each milestone strengthened the resolve to create a sacred space where devotees can experience darshan, seva, and spiritual upliftment. The journey is a testament to collective faith.
Temple Structure
The temple consists of three sacred levels, each representing a dimension of the divine form:
- Underground (Thazhthalam)
- Sanctum (Garbhagriha)
- Tower (Gopuram)
The Garbhagriha houses Sri Nrusimha Saraswati, Sri Swami Samarth, Sri Sai Nath, Audumbar Moola Paduka, and Panchaloha Idol of Dattatreya — consecrated over sacred Yantras including Sri Chakra, Vaibhava Lakshmi, Hanuman, and Datta Yantras.
Goshala — Service to the Divine Mother
In Hindu Dharma, the cow is Gomatha — a divine mother who nurtures life. Supporting the Goshala is a service that sustains harmony with nature and earns eternal merit.
Why Goshala Matters
Kamadhenu is praised as the divine cow who bestows prosperity. Lord Krishna, as Gopala, lived with cows and taught Ahimsa and harmony with nature. To serve the cow is to serve the Guru.
Benefits of Supporting
Every contribution to the Goshala carries immense spiritual merit. Your seva sustains Gomatha's well-being and brings these blessings:
- Merit of Go-Dhanam
- Family harmony
- Protection of nature
- Traditional agriculture
- Ancestral blessings
